People change. Some willingly some forcefully.

my grandpa told me long ago people dont change that he had ever seen.He was 85 when we lost him.I have found out in the twenty years since i lost him he was so right.I think people just get tired as they age and dont raise hell like when there young.Thats my two cents worth have a day or night

I think people can change by degrees. It's almost never a complete 180 in behavior, but over time all the degrees add up to be noticeable. Sometimes they're better, sometimes they're worse, but they do become different versions of their past selves.

I think both depending upon the person you are talking about. Some change and some stay the same.

I changed for my betterment for sure.
It is possible for people to change .. comes down to being self-aware/realizing the need for change and having the willingness to do the work to make it happen. That said .. change is never easy and results vary widely.

Both
I’m discovering the latter with someone in my life now

Both, but not by compulsion. By experiencing, learning, growing and aging over time.
But the basic human core / nature always remain the same.

They can change but some things are so ingrained it's difficult to overcome it.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
They absolutely can change. They have to want to change though. That determines whether or not they actually do.
OzDiver · 61-69, M
@PerfectionOfTheHeart I agree with this 100%, and also feel that their motivation to change has to come from themselves and not from someone else.
Reveal more of who they are
Both. Generally, people do reveal who they are as they get comfortable—but they can still change aspects that they consider worth changing.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
People are certainly able to change if they want to
Some can and do change. Some can and do not.

We do evolve
Constantly

That's one given in our universe

If you are stagnant, you eventually rot
Fertilization · 36-40, F
Change is inevitable for human nature.

They reveal more of themselves depending on a change in their circumstances.
ElRengo · 70-79, M
Both
When people change, if they do, they do it revealing their potential but also their contradictions and constraints.
