and you are lucky. usually when i met a family that seemed all nice and good....it wasn't and i found out years later....or i was too young to understand what was going on at such a young age... and then figured it out later

@LILY61 I have been blessed to find wonderful people - including my own extended family - I never realized the depth of depravity and evil until the last couple of decades.

evil gene? I think there must be. and the combination of nature and nurture produces beings that should be taken down like a rabid dog.

I was raised violently and had a beautiful heart and soul, I turned my rage and anger into a military career and saw the worst of what man can and has done on this earth. I chose not to be like the evil hateful terrible people, I did my job, and I live with my scars/PTSD, but I never passed that onto my children.

@swirlie i was taken when i was 4. i was abused seriously from that moment. i ran away in the middle of the night and the police took me home immediately. to my kidnapper's home. They told me not to do this again or i would be as dead as my family.
i went to school....was lied about there. i only had friends that my mother picked out for me and they were always vile and sick people . my life was horrible and then i started to try to kill myself. no one listened to me. they had all been lied to about me or threatened if they tried to help me or be nice to me. i had no one.
if i got engaged they were lied to about me. if i had a job, they were lied to about me. i am almost always alone.
i swear to you. I have never done anything to anyone in my life. i am the nicest person that ever lived. i always thought that i had this terrible life because i was suppose to use this to make this a better world. but if no one shows you respect and you can't go to college and you can't get people to listen to you then there is no helping or changing anything. so i am done with helping anyone.
And i don't believe in God anymore!

Psychopath means someone who's brain has developed to not feel empathy, and not understand emotions eg. Practicing facial expressions in the mirror to fit in. You can be born with it or develop something similar due to upbringing and experiences.
it sounds like you grew up having to be strong and self-reliant so you probably took on responsibility early because you had to. I grew up in chaos aswell with drugs and violence around me and I had to be the adult for my parent sometimes, Ive always had a good heart though and maybe people are just born that way sometimes.

Fascinating question and I’m always interested in learning more about psychopathy. I believe that fundamentally the answer lies in the brain and that psychopaths have brains that are just wired differently. Hopefully scientists will continue studying the brain and get to a point that will be useful in somehow changing the trajectory of psychopathic behavior. But I fear that time is a long way off.

I am not saying they cannot change, it is that they do not want to change or to alter their life's path/destiny.
As far as school shootings I do not know how you stop a psychopath one they decide to act, they are the same as any famous serial killer with no one knowing about them until after they have acted out their deadly plan unfortunately.

It has been determined that true psychopaths have brain abnormalities not a mental illness. Psychopaths cannot experience empathy, love, remorse, hate and other emotions sometimes even fear.
Most killers, even serial killers can experience love and often feel remorse for their actions. They are just criminals who choose to disregard the norms of life. Many had rough and dysfunctional upbringings and many did not. It is very hard to predict how a person will turn out based on their past.

Jesus was strung up with the others and then they were removed from the crosses and alot of them lived including Jesus. and Jesus was not his name . it was the group. he was taken care of the three days in question and then got up and was seen wandering around. then he went off with his wife, Mary and they had kids and a life... the end

@Adstar i hate the way psychotic whack jobs suddenly find God and Jesus and think they know everything. if you knew the truth, it would break your brain completely. that guy should never have been let out unless he was on drugs at the time and then when let out had to do drug testing every month forever.
