Do you have a personal philosophy?

My father and I have many times discussed this and he has said that he believes the simpler existence is masculine and that the harder human existence is feminine. He also said that women are the more complex of the sexes and their identity as a female has a higher human form in that they are the incubator for new human beings and they are the primary nourishing source for new human beings. That the male role after impregnating is security, the insurance that the mother has the ability to nurture the new life, so her role is far more important.

He went on, relating how all humans at conception are female and it is shortly after conception that the identification of the new life is determined by DNA 🧬 and the male embryos will begin to develop. He said the feelings over male supremacy are ostensibly derived from how this is more unique in the process, but it doesn’t mean that Nature has a surplus of females, the numbers of each sex are fairly balanced.

60+ years of living has taught me that at the core human beings are much more alike than we are different. We have similarities that cross racial, ethnic, religious lines—even gender lines. It’s societal mores that dictate much of the gender roles we adopt.

A friend once asked, mostly rhetorically, what I thought was an interesting question:

"If true gender equality could ever be achieved, would transgenderism continue to be an issue ?"

There is truth in his perspective, to be sure, but I am not certain if it doesn't oversimplify things. My thought has been that our species at one point opted for specialization, strong male for hunting, smaller females for procreation and early child rearing. That specialization gave us as a hole more power for survival but it also came with a different development in communication. It's complicated 😊

Sounds like old fashioned sexist BS nonsense to justify certain behaviors. We are all biological organisms with a large variety of physical, emotional, and intellectual expressions.

There is both simplicity and nuance in life. It simply IS, in my view. Difficulty comes in trying to 'control' things that simply flow from simple existence.

I had grander ideas when younger, but my experience has adjusted those grandiose concepts.

I do not FULLY understand masculine/feminine "philosophies".

MY "personal philosophy" is as FOLLOWS:

"For those of you who LIKE me-THANK YOU-I appreciate the compliment."

"For those of you who do NOT like me-I have NEWS for you-I am NOT going to lose any sleep over it!"

Those are some wild things to say lol. So according to your "father", females have harder lives, are more complex, they're above men both genetically and sociologically, and just straight up more important... How am I even supposed to respond to that in any other way than say it sounds crazy? 😂

My philosophy is to make the world a better place in the little bubble of influence that I have, and to live the best life I can. Best life meaning being as moral and fair as a human as possible (for me), to share great experiences with both myself in isolation and other people around me whenever possible, and of course keep a close relationship with my God.
My personal philosophy is treat people the way you want to be treated.

@MayorOfCrushtown Words of wisdom.

In the beginning of this country, woman bore children, oftentimes nursing them while working in the fields, sewing, and cooking. Men provided safety, shelter, and hunted for meat, end did the heavy lifting. It was simple, no bs gender dysphoria or morality issues. The more complex we have become as a society the weaker we have become.
I would have to agree with your father. I agree that women are more complex than males.
@Hinckley There are individuals who would give lie to that generalization.

One citizen one workforce one country. One country one citizen one earth.
AKA be productive and good things will be produced.
Aka work hard and good things will happen.

What do you think? Don't you agree with your father?

I would have to say stoicism is anything.

That’s not a question, it’s a statement of your father’s opinion.

I revert to Maimonides, do unto others as you expect them to do unto you!

Yes, avoid bullshit. Be prepared for what you are doing. Don't depend on anyone else for any part of it. Avoid needless relationships. Love others as you wish to be loved, but don't hold your breath.

Women have more expected of them.

modern society is an abomination/unnatural; Nature maintains it's own balance (until we fuck with it anyways). Adapt or die, the strong thrive, and the weak die off. The problem with humanity is that we spend too much resource and effort propping up people who contribute nothing to society and only drag everyone else down; it's even come to the point that the most incompetent/most dependent are treated with higher esteem than the self-reliant; eventually, it will all collapse.

The climate won't kill humanity, laziness & stupidity will...
