I feel that The Practice and Boston Legal, ruined cop/crime movies for me.

I'm watching The Negotiator, at present and can't help but notice if Samuel L Jacksons character had Alan Shore as his attorney there wouldn't of been a movie...

Well, look at how many people would have been helped to do better, etc., if every local sheriff/police chief were like Sheriff Andy Taylor?

If every person in the entire enterprise of law/law enforcement were the best of what we have read and seen--investigators like the Holmes & Watson of Elementary, J. Fletcher of Murder, She Wrote, or the original Thomas Magnum of Magnum, P.I.; attorneys like Ben Matlock of Matlock, or Perry Mason of the eponymous program; judges like Solomon; etc.--wouldn't we have the truth found out more consistently, and the law used more equitably and sparingly, with people being helped in many ways?
Lawyers and public defenders and medical drs. Etc solving crimes and getting chased by the bad guy ruined it for me..🤓
