Weird/Funny experience.

An unknown person texted me on WhatsApp today. He thought I was his friend. I told him it was a wrong number. Yet he kept asking which area do I live in. I didn't want to share the certain area with a random stranger for obvious reasons but he straight up called me rude. When I said I wasn't being rude and asked why should I tell him my exact location since we don't know each other it's pretty clear then he called me childish lol. After that I replied him and vaguely told him my location (not the exact one) but dude hasn't replied since. I was already having a bad day and idk what that guy wanted or maybe I overreacted? But I think I'm not bound to share my location with just anyone.
Ugh it's a silly thing but just sharing..

I actually like this story - never give your location under this circumstance - I liken this to once you found him rude, and he continued, as long as you can handle (which it sounds you did), is fewer hours he can spend this way to others.

@yunaah Once, years ago, and anyone could receive this - I had a man convinced I was playing hard to get because I said my name was not Jessica. Made me laugh. Your example could have been an "honest" response that he got your number from a situation like mine, where I imagine a girl gave the guy a false number to get him off her back, and my guess when a man does that, they are just rolling the dice.

@SW-User it pretty funny to me..i thought he was my neighbour for awhile that's why I replied him.. what's more funny is he didn't even replied me back since then..lol..some people can be so weird

@yunaah Don't know why you thought he was your neighbour, area code, number - familiarity, all those are scams now. You left them a message they never replied? We'll be innocent for a moment, the poor guy, maybe sweet as hell, can't respond...

That was a predator. You had better keep your eyes peeled for stalkers. If he texted you on WhatsApp, he has your phone number. And then he called you RUDE????? He was trying to trick you into telling him what he wanted to know.

You don't want to become a police statistic.

You're not overreacting 😂
Mans was straight trippin asking for your location, like what is he on? How rude is a stranger tryna manipulate you into thinking you're rude for not doxxing yourself

I get messages on Facebook from people I don't know all the time trying chat me up. I just ignore them.

You did right in not revealing your location, but you would have done better still to ignore him.
Why didn’t you just ignore him? You’re not legally obligated to reply to people.

Just don't reply if you don't know them. Block and thats it. Your energy feeds them.

Rather than wasting your time he deserved a quick block, lol
It was a common phishing scheme.
