Women who slut shame women turn my stomach
Men who do it make me think that they aren't getting any and were rejected... Those men also make me sick

Even on this thread, people are saying they agree on the one hand but on the other saying they don't like slutty behaviour
Lol that's contradictory

In my case...For myself I don’t like promiscuity or a nonmonogamous relationship but I do not care what others do if it doesn’t effect me.

@SW-User I feel like it is up to the person on how they feel in general about people sleeping around. I'm not going to tell people how they should feel, but I definitely think there's a difference between not liking it but staying out of it because it's not their place and straight out attacking people over how many partners they have. Spreading hatred over something private and personal like how many sexual partners a person has had is definitely not okay in any situation.
I remember there was a girl who was being bullied, harassed and I believe she even was physically assaulted at one point over nude photos that someone leaked and she killed herself and even after her death people were still calling her a slut and saying horrible things about her. It makes me sick to my stomach that people could treat a person like that and still shame them even after they're already dead.

Honestly speaking I don't care how many people some random person has slept with. It's none of my business. However, I definitely think that it's unfair to shame one gender and not the other. Actually I think it's ridiculous to shame anyone over how many people they choose to sleep with though maybe that's just me.

Judging a person over personal and what should be private decisions is a disgusting thing to do

I concur. I never found the idea of a man sleeping around as "admirable".
Anyone who shames one but not the other is just a hypocrite.

Because just about a century ago it was pretty much the norm for men to have a wife and a mistress, and both women were expected to just sit back and take it. But if a woman was caught cheating, it would scandalize the social register, since it was still a “man’s world”. Back then, women were actually considered “hysterical” if they admitted to enjoying sex, since it was thought they had no interest in it beyond wanting to get pregnant.

It's total bullshit. Nobody should be ashamed of enjoying sex regardless of gender.

I agree with you I don't really care for nor appreciate promiscuous "slutty" behavior from anyone (men or women), but I don't care for women getting berated for it and not men, just I don't appreciate men always getting berated for cheating and women very little (and don't say that's because men do it more...women are known to do it just as much).

I think it’s a double standard created by society in order to control women and how they behave, and so it’s become the norm. I believe in this day and age if you are progressive thinking you wouldn’t see things that way. However there is one caveat, women end up carrying the bullet for nine months. So maybe it’s a way for society to warn them.

Yes agreed.

It seems women do it because they're either jealous (I know that's a cop-out but it happens) or have some conservative idea on how women should behave and berate those who act "unladylike". Men may do it for much the same reason as the latter but from what I gather, men who do that may have a general contempt for women and slut shame out of having poor luck with the ladies. Both are very sickening and shitty.
