Alone, but its ok.

I don't let the head drama start...ever. I am very tough with myself that way. If head drama WANTS to start, I squelch it. Being alone on the holidays does not HAVE to be horrible. This year I cooked the whole turkey dinner, and brought half of it to a friend who can't drive.

I find things to do that help me to feel good about myself, and realistically, it was not worth a moment of my happy holidays with "family" before I divorced, because I paid a deep, deep price for them the rest of the year.

Sounds good. I enjoy being by myself sometimes, my husband is the same way. He has a man cave, in the garage with a 70 inch tv, and he has these huge speakers like he's at the nightclub lol and i have a swing it has lights and speakers in it. I sit out there and color in adult coloring books or i listen to my favorite podcasts. If the weather isnt my friend that day i just find a movie inside. I feel more relaxed when im alone.

I was alone, too. Well, me and my dog. But not lonely.

My daughter broke her tailbone on Tuesday and my son-in-law just got out of the hospital. My granddaughter was with the other half of the family.

We decided to turkey trot on another day. It’s not an Obligation!

I have spent some holidays alone too. I get what you are saying.
