Alone, but its ok.

No drama other than in my own head. I actually took the time to brine and cook a turkey breast and make potatoes and stuffing. I will enjoy it not only tonight, but for the next couple days, then back on the road again and we will see what sort of signals I can cross on this trip.

I don't let the head drama start...ever. I am very tough with myself that way. If head drama WANTS to start, I squelch it. Being alone on the holidays does not HAVE to be horrible. This year I cooked the whole turkey dinner, and brought half of it to a friend who can't drive.

I find things to do that help me to feel good about myself, and realistically, it was not worth a moment of my happy holidays with "family" before I divorced, because I paid a deep, deep price for them the rest of the year.
