does anyone wish they could go back to the 1960s and stay there

it was a bit before my time, i was born in 1977, but 1960s britain was where my parents grew up, it was of my parents time and i hear things were so much better back then...no mass illegal immigration for one and britain was british through & through.

I was around in the 1960s. I would not want to go back, at least not in the U.S. The everyday quality of life was much better for average people, much lower housing costs, etc. But the Vietnam war was raging. And the assassinations of JFK, Dr. Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy happened. It was a traumatic time.

In the U.K. the 60's were different.

Yes, after watching the entire Mad Men series I really wished I had been born about 20 years earlier so I could have lived through the 60's.

What makes another human being iillegal? Did they step over an imaginary line in the sand and a colonizer decided that THEY were the ones who were illegal? Or was it because their accents, skintone, religions and customs were different. Im just asking for a friend.

@AngelUnforgiven No human is illegal. But if a country establishes laws that might say, "any person not born in this country is considered foreign or also known as illegal alien"

So if you are in a country you're not supposed to be in without authorization, then you are breaking those laws that country has set.

That's what would make a person "illegal"

Skin tone, accents, religion and customs should have no bearing or influence on a person being called, illegal.

Just because John Doe is from a different country and talks different and has a different skin tone than us and practices xyz religion, doesn't at all mean they are illegal.

Apart from the west Indians being brought over to work here..then the Maltese too...all working in London..plus then the Indians came over... probably wanna go back to the early 50's!!
