It seems that they do as well as dogs. It seems to be evident when you know your pet is asleep and they make again making noises.

@markinkansas My late dog was exactly the same, it was obvious she was dreaming, I'd sometimes wake her up, she would look at me strangely. Never found out what she was dreaming about.

@Ohplease47 sandman i. general? it was ... pretty sprawling. as a surface scratch it was an occult gyy managing to capture the 'eternal' Morpheus, lord of dreams and all the things that. spawn from that. the cat substory is that cats used to rule the world, were several times larger than people, kept people as attendants and pets, hunted them for sport. but people learned to dream and changed the world. now cats are trying to learn to dream to take it back.
