Money-sucking scam cult. A one way road to being controlled by them as well. I have watched a tv series about how some people that moved to their compounds weren’t allowed to leave without being escorted by others. Until they jumped through hoops for a period of time to earn the trust of the organization and then they could venture out to run errands for the group. They had a chance to escape and did and went into hiding. Ended up being interviewed and their story shown on a series.

@cherokeepatti I've been watching a bunch of accounts of some of those high level people in there who were 2nd generation Scienologists who literally had to take great lengths to escape and if they are caught sometimes they are sent to a reprogramming of their truth and a locked up for months. Like Leah Remini for example, and you are absolutely right. So bizarre how people can get caught up in such an absurd science fiction organization

@atlantic59 They get sweet talked into it and then get black-mailed to continue on with it probably after being offered to engage in sex with underage children and other such things. Perverts are easy to lure in. But brainwashing and being told they will back a celebrity with offers that will help them become successful is also a pretty good bribe. Remini was the one that had that tv show exposing the cult and interviewing the runaways.

Quite unbelievable. And I don't mean their philosophy, I mean their very existence! They call themselves a religion, but they don't even have a theology.
