I can't stop having intrusive thoughts about my veins being sliced open whenever I become physically aware of them lately

I really hate it. It makes me feel sick

Think of them more of little rivers of life... they carry amazing things to our organs🤗 I dont enjoy worry thoughts either, they are trying to scare you. Say to the thought, "hello..now BYE, and take a hike". 💖

@Straylight it's okay. It's really weird, I haven't had it in a long time.

Hopefully it'll go away as my mood improves

Have you ever tried EFT? It can help redirect your attention.

@HijabaDabbaDoo thank you! I practice DBT and I think I just shkuld do more exercises now that I'm not doing it weekly... But if it doesn't help, I'll try EFT!
@caccoon Both are helpful. I used to have weekly CBT while doing EFT whenever I needed it and that was usually when I was on the verge of having a panic attack. It's more of a preventative measure and a useful tool to have as and when you need it. Kinda like breathing exercises. Sometimes it takes a lil while figuring out what works for you

Strange intrusive thoughts are normal to have.
It just sucks when one is having a private moment and they creep in.

I used to get eeked out by that for years! I rarely think of it now but it still weirds me out on occasion

I have intrusive thoughts my whole life too, about other things, and it feels out of control too. I hate it.

I’m a believer in hard exercise and sunshine. That removes most negativity.
