Do you ever get Social Anxiety?

I have it on and off and I don't have much of an idea of where it comes from.

I was shopping and I went to order my coffee from McDonalds and my hands were just shaking, I was pretty much having a panic attack.

Like I said, it's not all the time, just on and off.

I get like that from time to time. It’s like stored up anxiety I’ve been ignoring starts trickling to the surface when I’m taken out of my comfort of my own home. Ordering a simple coffee during those times can become a battle I wasn’t prepared for. Even trying to maneuver my car in crowded parking lots spurs on the makings of a panic attack. So crazy that the mind takes such things to a life or death level.

I used to get it when I had to go inside a bank to see the teller (using atm was ok). I don’t know why in the world this started. I would literally have to psych myself up for days.

but then I got a job in 2009 that required me to go to the bank to do business deposits 2 to 3 times a week. It drove me crazy for the first few months, but after that, it became easy.

You might have low magnesium levels. Magnesium glycinate helps with anxiety. It calms you down.

@Matt85 Take 2 at nite before bed. They make you drowsy. Make sure you take the type I suggested above.

@Blondily Thanks. Yes I will try.

@Blondily She's right. There are two types of Mg supplements. Only the magnesium glycinate helps with anxiety.
Yes, I've dealt with it on and off my whole life. It's one of the reasons I don't work outside the home anymore.
@MsSwan You and Joe Biden. 🤣

I do sometimes. I really don't know why. I'm not afraid of much of anything. It just overcomes me at times.

Yes, I had therapy for it. Helped a little.
@PaleandPolluted cognitive therapy??

@Rose90 yeah

Yes, I always have had it in various degrees. Performance anxiety and stage fright are worse.
I have never had a panic attack. It's the shit you normally end up in ER for because you think you're dying and then you are prompted to visit a psychiatrist. Or at least so I heard.
I've had a tetanic attack though and didn't know what it was at the time. I googled and figured out I needed to take magnesium so I tried and it worked.
Sometimes go to docs
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@Rose90 I've been to the docs with it before. I guess I will get some beta blockers or something. I must look ridiculous.

Depression at moment

Yeah I was horrible and then I got medication. It's not completely gone but its no where near as bad. I still panick in public places and stupid things that shouldn't really matter. I have anxiety when I'm stopped at the stop light and all the cars are staring at me 😂
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@SkeetSkeet I know right! It's so weird and unpredictable.
