Is that a boy or a girl?

My very shy, anxious, and self conscious 13 year old got a very beautiful pixie cut yesterday, however, she was walking her dog, Pippin, last night, and got heckled by a bunch of lads "hey, are you a dude, guy, bloke, is that a boy"?
She completely froze, then she told me she shouted back, "today I'm an apache elf"
Couldn't have been more proud of her!
Guys, we're going on vacay tonight, can you suggest more savage comebacks if she gets asked again by spud munchers who are pathetic tossers? It really will give her that confidence boost!

Let her deal with it herself, that will give her confidence. Just her knowing you believe in her will give her further confidence to just be herself

The thing about it is if one is going to go against what's considered "normal" they have to be prepared for a fight and possible ostracization. That's just the nature of the world we live in

@Dusty101 I have been bullied here and it reminds me of high school. I will never understand why people need to act this way and it’s worse for kids because they do not process things the same as an adult would.

I have mentioned these things to bullies here and I was told I am just trying to make them feel bad. Yes, yes I am. If you can read this and keep acting the way you do then there’s no help for you. These are not the only instances I know of, they are just people close to me.

Your daughter is strong but what those boys are doing is absolute shit. You know there’s people that would say that those boys are picking on her because they like her. So we are teaching girls and teens that it’s okay for boys/teens to treat them like garbage from the get go?

Sorry this subject just gets to me and my heart hurts for you and your daughter 💖.
