Neurologist appointment

We are headed off to our appointment and for some reason I am so anxious over this. So much so I asked Joel to come join us. He's on his way to pick us up.

I wanted to take an anxiety pill but changed my mind.

I don't think I should be this stressed over this appointment

I don’t think you should be stressing over why you’re stressing. Anxiety is anxiety.

But anxiety is fear of whatever. Feeling helpless.

From where I sit, like it or not, I think you rock. You’ve more than managed to shine your light. You’ve found love, are raising three kids with thoughtful love. You have a job. An adopted grandmother/mother. Friends.

That said, neurologist visits ARE scary. I don’t usually visibly get anxious, but I’m anxious.

You’re there for information. That’s what is scary.

@Mamapolo2016 last time I was at a neurologist they told me I was to old to be helped and I should just deal with my issues on my own. But I worry more about what she will say about my daughter and me not willing to allow her to cause her to have a panic attack so she can see what triggers her to that point. I won't do it. It takes her days to recover from a panic attack and I can't willing let someone do that. I worry she be mad and stop treating her. And we'll have to find a new doctor

And thank you for the kind words. It means alot for you to say that and honestly each day I'm believing it a little more

I read how you were dreading the new neurologist's approach in one of your posts and honestly you had the right to !
How was the appointment?

@Friendlyperson it went well. I'm starting some new meds and some new ideas that she thinks in time will help me replace some of my outbursts with less noticeable tics and help me calm my ocd
