@graphite that would be sweet if he landed here in vancouver. and yeah, mario was amazing. i had the pleasure of seeing him live a few times. had he not had his illnesses/injuries they wouldn't be talking about ovechkin chasing gretzky's record....but mario's. most exciting player to suit up for the canucks was pavel bure. for 3 years we had pavel/mogilny/messier and never once made the playoffs....lol

@beermeplease Vancouver would have to start the bidding with Petersson, Hughes, their #1 pick and who knows what else would be demanded? Is he worth gutting the Canucks? It's unlikely they're going to get him in the draft lottery.

@sunsporter1649 I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen out of the kings this season and Kevin Fiala has been brilliant this season . I think he’s the most skilled guy on the team. He was a great pick up from the Wild .

Who won it the year before and two years later? Bourque had to abandon the Bruins in a last-ditch effort win a Stanley Cup after 23 seasons. He never played again after that. Scott Stevens won the Cup 3X; Bourque just once.
