Genuflect is the sort of half-kneel that Catholics do when crossing in front of the altar, including entering the pews from the center aisle, showing respect to the crucifix on the altar and the religious relic of some saint that is part of the altar . And that the priest does after presumably, symbolically turning the bread and water into the body and blood of Jesus during Mass.

I don't know about the lyrics but holy water isn't scriptural, it's a made up thing that Catholics did. It might bring some comfort but it's about Jesus not the water xx
