So I don't have a dog in this race, but the question you're asking is like, the first Christian question.
I was just learning about Arianism, which is one of the biggest early heresies started in the 3rd century. Arians hold that Jesus separate and distinct from God, begotten from him, and therefore subordinate to God. It's also a shorthand for a variety of belief systems which rejected the idea of the trinity.
The Council of Nicea was the first great council brought together to try and establish consistency in the Christian faith, and it almost entirely rejected Arianism. It remained popular and a lot of people died over this belief.
And really, this question comes down to "which church do you attend"?

@black4white The chicken absolutely came BEFORE the egg
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@seotelkniwt There you go. Jehovah's Witnesses are non-trinitarians. And no you're not an Arian, that's a belief from 1700 years ago.
What I am saying is your question is fundamental theology and maybe the oldest question in Christianity.

@CountScrofula 😂 lol! Welllll! It's a good question. What is "fundamental theology"? 🤔 I think I have an idea of what it is.

Jesus is God's son who was made from God and by God. He is one with God, and is a part of God, and is an entity in his own right.
Vengabus · 36-40
@seotelkniwt Water is water. Take it from the river and put it in a glass, the water in the glass is the same as the water in the river.
seotelkniwt · F
@Vengabus Soooo God is God and Jesus is Jesus. The glass and the water are not the same. Glass does not have the same properties as water. Those 2 different components don't have the same use. You cannot drink a glass. And water, unless under laboratory settings cannot hold itself like a glass does. 😆

@seotelkniwt 🙄 I’m not going to teach you x

Is all a figment of the imagination therefore there is no wrong answer…. The Bible is a bunch of made up imaginary stories too
seotelkniwt · F
@black4white Someone a hundred years from now could say the same thing about you. They might think you're a figment of someone's imagination, even though you really did exist, so what's your point? Just you don't have accurate knowledge of the Bible and appreciation for its contents doesn't give you the right to comment on something you know nothing about.
It's a known fact your list of imaginary friends don't exist, but there is tons of proof that God exist. Trust me, you definitely do not want see or experience God close up and personal. Why? Because Exodus 33:20 says: "But He added: "You cannot see my face, for no matter can see me and live."'

@seotelkniwt OK ... well do your thing... and enjoy your fantasy world...

@black4white you have a good say sir

He's part of the holy trinity right? Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but still one. So by that one would say he is God.
seotelkniwt · F
@Longpatrol A 3 headed god, the Trinity is not mentioned or is taught in the Bible. The word Trinity is not in the Bible nor the idea of one is mentioned.
A non christian by the name of Constantine supposedly converted later in life to belief in christianity but was not baptized until he lay dying. He and his father worshipped the "Unconquered Sun" because of military matters. Constantine went along with those who said Jesus was god. Thus the Trinity doctrine and it's teachings evolved.

Yes
Straylight · 31-35, F
@seotelkniwt I’m not sure that I do. I’m open to the idea, but I’ve yet to be 100% convinced.
seotelkniwt · F
@Straylight The Bible doesn't call or say Jeaus is God, rather it calls Jesus the "son of God", God's "first creation..."
Think about this: Can a baby boy or a son be equal to it's father? Oh, they may have similar traits or characteristics but they are definitely not the same person. Wouldn't you agree?

@Straylight Think about this: If Jesus was God why would he tell Mary to go to his brothers and say to them: "I am ascending to MY Father and your Father and to MY God and your God." Think about it: Jesus didn't say he was ascending to himself, but what he was saying is that he was ascending to his heavenly Father Jehovah shortly.
Question: If Jesus was God, did God have brothers in heaven? If God has brothers in heaven does that mean God had a creator also? No.
Hours before Jesus' horriifc death he prayed to his heavenly Father Jehovah and said: "Father, if you want to, REMOVE this cup from me. Nevertheless, let not my will, but YOURS take place." (Luke 22:42)
Question: If Jesus was God why would he be praying to himself to have "this cup removed from..." himself if he were God? Think about that. Also, Jesus didn't say let this cup be removed from "us", he said "me" referring to himself and not God.

No thanks, feels too much like college.
seotelkniwt · F
@Longpatrol So what are your thoughts without scriptures?

SW-User
The human form of god and the holy spirit
seotelkniwt · F
@SW-User Nope. Jesus was not in the human form of God. Jesus and his angelic brothers are godlike ones, spirit creatures. Jesus is the head angel or Archangel over all the other angelic godlike ones. The holy spirit is not a person. Holy spirit is God's powerful active force that God uses to accomplish His will and to help His servants to carry out His will.

SW-User
@seotelkniwt It's personal belief
seotelkniwt · F
@SW-User Yes it's my personal belief based solely on the Bible. I have come to learn and know that Jesus is simply God's first born or only begotten son that was directly created by Jehovah God Himself, all other things came through Jesus.
