"So the Lord was sorry that He had made mankind on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart."

How very interesting. I was unaware that God made mistakes.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
He doesn't make mistakes
Carazaa · F
@ElwoodBlues Bob Dylan definitely proclaimed Jesus a few years ago in a concert.
@Carazaa Dylan definitely did become born-again, but your claim is "Most Nobel prize winners come from Christian parents," and I'm pretty sure Dylan was raised Jewish.
Carazaa · F
@ElwoodBlues My point was that God blesses christians.

How can one determined having grief means making a mistake.

Mankind were the ones who were making the mistakes. They loved sinful ways.

@CorvusBlackthorne
1. Because he loves us anyway and he knew he could fix it for us by taking our punishment on his own shoulders to show us how much he loves us.
2. Because he wants us to choose his love, not be forced to love him.
3. Because he has standards in heaven; no sin at all. No hate, just love. Like a father disappointed in his child who is banned from an amusement park until he pays for the stolen gift shop toys. His Dad paid the fine because he knew the son couldn't, in order for his son to get into the park. He did it out of love!

@CorvusBlackthorne love has everything to do with free will. It is all about [c=BF0000]love![/c]

Just one of the many ridiculous things in the Bible.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Carazaa So some private religious university? So your science degree was from a religious school? I don't think detail about your degrees would give anything away, there are many people who have gone to San Diego State University over it's life.
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@Carazaa No worries, I have no quarrel with you.
Carazaa · F
I have a degree from both, I have never gone to a religious school ever. But I have taught at 2 religious schools and a public school and they were all fabulous! I love science! I am a super curious person and come from a family with MD's, and PHD's.

Nipples on men, God's mistake.
Carazaa · F
No he did not make a mistake. He planned to save the world before he made the world because he knew all along they would sin and he was sorry that he made them ( he did not regret he made them) because they grieved him. He gave us freedom. But those who loved him he saved, Noah and his family. And he will save those who love him when he makes a new heaven and destroys this one very very soon, maybe this year, so repent and be saved.
@Carazaa all these are the beginnings of sorrows
Carazaa · F
@DIABLISS You are reading King James version but in American Standard, NIV, and old Swedish version it says birth pangs.
@Carazaa recently changed. i will never believe that this is an original version. i have never heard the phrase before this conversation
all gods make mistakes in all writings that i have read. if this world was in fact made or influenced by any god, he didn't know what he was doing in the first place. but i in fact, believe in the big bang theory
@Carazaa i did trust in God and if he exists or existed, he screwed me over brutally. i have had the worst life that was ever given to a human. and i have never been cruel or done anything to anyone ever
Carazaa · F
@DIABLISS
I am so sorry about your life. What happened?
There is a reason for suffering, it makes us more loving when others suffer, we get stronger, God wants to mature us, Another is we have sinned. [c=BF0000]"All have sinned and come short of God's Glory"[/c]
@Carazaa your god gives some of us alot more than we can take. i just wish that i had turned into a psycho path like anyone else would have. but no...i am soft and kind and sympathetic and people have used me and raped me and kidnapped me and lied about me and destroyed me my entire life. so now there is no god in my life
can people stop changing everything in the Bible that they pretend they have read. i just looked up all of the references to "birthpangs" in my King James. it is about 50 years old. but no where in it is there the phrase "birthpangs".
JSul3 · 70-79
I have often pointed that out when children are born with birth defects.

@jshm2 I am aware of that, as I am of the fact that the various books of the Bible were never originally intended to be collected into one volume. Now tell me, my friend. Are you aware that rudeness on your part means that you have lost the argument?
Adstar · 56-60, M
It was not a mistake... Short term pain sometimes has to be experienced for the Long term Gain..
Lostpoet · M
God is human too
@Lostpoet no, humans exist
Renaci · 36-40
When they created the bible looks like they missed a few things that make God look fallible. Like this and where it says he created evil.
Which is reasonable. It a lot of text after all. Some is bound to slip through.
I also find it funny that protestants use a bible created by Catholics many deny are Christians at all. Even going so far as to think they worship Satan. But they will still use the catholic created omnibus.
So doesn't that mean those catholic denying protestants actually worship Satan since they are using a bible created by Satan worshipers?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@room101 I don't think I've even heard of an Italian atheist. Never thought about that.
room101 · 51-55, M
@Graylight There are a few in my Italian family. Just as there are a few Greek atheists, my father was one. But when my Mum said it was time to go to church for a specific celebration, he went with a smile lol.

I've been living in Spain for the last four years. A lot more "out and proud" atheists here😂
