Scientist and Atheists, if a cat can be locked in a box and be simultaneously alive and dead, why can't there be a God? [Spirituality & Religion]

Get out of that one.

And scientists shouldn't be allowed to own cats
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
I'm hoping this is satire, but Schrodinger's Cat wasn't an actual experiment that was performed. It was a hypothetical allegory to explain the weirdness of quantum mechanics, particularly the concept of superposition
Speedyman · 70-79, M
As far as I know when I did quantum mechanics the cat wasn’t alive or dead but it was in or out of the box. The probability of it being out of the box is so small as to be totally beyond the realm of calculation. But it just shows that the matter is so complicated and mysterious by the time we talk about God who created matter then how far he is above our finite minds

@Speedyman yup, God is some spacy trippy stuff

What an absurdly irrational idea that someone believes a creature is in opposing states in reality
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@SW-User thats scientists for you
Allelse · 36-40, M
Why would there need to be a God for it to be both?
DiegoWolfe · 36-40
if the cat is dead it can tell us if there is a god or not, if the cat is alive its gonna fucking die cause its in a fucking box.....
MasterDvdC · 61-69, M
For those who believe no proof is necessary. For those who do not believe no proof is possible.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Biologically impossible to be both alive and dead at the same time so...
... and then there are the scientists who believe in God....
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@CopperCicada And scientists who believe cow farts will be the end of the world
Quantum mechanics vs magic.
