My Grandmother had already organized the songs she wanted. The Theme song from The Dockers football team. Two songs from an Indian singer Kumar I didn't recognize. Followed by AC/DC's 'Highway to hell' when the coffin was lowered. She didn't want people to feel sad she was gone.

I have just re-read the programme.
Time to say Goodbye was by Sarah Brightman as well as Andrea Bocelli. On the radio, it is usually the Italian version played.
The Photo Tribute was accompanied by Jennifer Juniper by Donovan. [The deceased's name was Jennifer]

No favourite as such she liked nice singers with good voices rather than pop bands. Im looking at Celine Dion, My Heart Does Go On. Because You Loved Me has more appropriate lyrics but not as powerful.
Ive been told that I should end with a positive song. Somewhere Over The Rainbow is a nice song and is of the same vintage as mum.

The last one I attended played:
Time to say Goodbye by Andrea Bocelli
[It was the English version, I think there is one wholly in Italian]
&
The Ashokan Farewell by Jay Ungar

We are looking at a photo sideshow. It could do with a nice accompaniment to it.
