Be honest, home much time do you spend worrying about things you can do absolutely nothing about?

Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
I have allowed myself to a 15-25 minutes mental breakdown during stress where I hard cry and go all in on self pity and worries.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@Convivial It's just to ask if you wanna know ☺️

If you are able to suffocate in yourself like me, I reccommend limiting the time you self-suffer.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@Queendragonfly i seem to have been rather lucky and escaped the need,
Nevaeh0081 · 36-40, F
@Queendragonfly kind of necessary. But understandable and we'll needed.
Roughly 18 hours a day.
@NerdyPotato can I give you a hug 🥺
@TurtleEclipseOfTheHeart yes please 🥺
Nevaeh0081 · 36-40, F

Depends what you mean by worry. Inactive apprehension? Unaided concern? Purposeless dread? All of these have both uses and drawbacks. It's in being wise enough to know how much or how little importance to place on them, how much to admit to. How much energy to invest in avoiding or addressing a thing.

Nothing in the human range of thought is there needlessly. Contrary to popular opinion.

Only a dog either buries a bone or worries it until it's an unrecognizable lump of calcium. Being human means finding the challenges that are presented to us by the great big everything of reality, address them if we can and at least, accept them when we think we cannot.

Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof......Never let events conquer your spirit.
Nevaeh0081 · 36-40, F
@Freeranger What verse is that? I think I should start reading again.
Freeranger · M
@Nevaeh0081 Matt: 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself: sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

"Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it never gets you anywhere." Erma Bombeck
I do not worry anymore. I concentrate on living my life my way and happily. Simply. Worry gets you nowhere.
Convivial · 26-30, F
Very little actually... Time is much better spent on those things you can affect
Nevaeh0081 · 36-40, F
@Convivial You are so strong, Mami.
JustNik · 51-55, F
There’s usually a low-key hum there all the time anymore.
Tachyeon · 26-30, F

Idontdomornings · 31-35, M
I gave up on doing that a long time ago.
originnone · 61-69, M
a great deal. I have difficulty distinguishing between worrying and "thinking about." So,...sometimes when I worry I come up with ideas....so I convince myself that the worrying is useful. But, geez worrying hurts.
olderuncle944 · 70-79, M
maybe 15 min
Wasted time is definitely a part of solving some things. You don't know ahead of time what the breakthroughs will be.
But okay,! Everyone in yer jobs doing what I say! No worries! Just work.
smiler2012 · 56-60
