Hard to believe a year has passed

since I was undergoing radiation treatment for cancer. Folks, please have regular checkups, and stay well

Prostate? 2 years ago, I noticed spotting and told my doctor and friend (next-door neighbor). 24 hours later I had my uterus removed by a very gifted Chinese woman (surgeon). The stage was 0- . My scans remain clear.

Excellent advice! I waited longer to get something than I should've to get something checked out. I've been in remission for a little over two years now.

@JohnnyNoir It's so comforting to have excellent doctors.
All my oncologists were wonderful. I consider myself lucky to get treatment from my lead oncologist before he retired.

@SooperSarah Mine, plus the techs who worked with me were wonderful. It's a scary enough thing go through, but being made to feel at ease and in good hands helped a lot.

I hear you, and your words are so true.

My two year journey through chemo, radiation and surgery after surgery was all due to my not getting regular checkups.

What could have been a minor surgical procedure almost took my life, and while I'm healthy and cancer free now, one is never whole again.
