Excellent advice! I waited longer to get something than I should've to get something checked out. I've been in remission for a little over two years now.

@SooperSarah hope it was still caught early enough
@JohnnyNoir it was stage 2A. Eight chemo infusions later it's gone. It was supposed to be 4 and radiation but the area of exposure was too big for radiation to be done safely. So I got more chemo instead.

@SooperSarah I feel lucky to have avoided chemo. I did treatments in the morning and went straight to work when done. Minor side effects but nothing too bad
@JohnnyNoir chemo is miserable. In a weird way I was ok with getting more chemo instead of radiation. I knew what to expect with the chemo. I wasn't interested in starting something new.
The radiation oncologist I saw was absolutely amazing though. He showed me a bunch of studies explaining why I shouldn't receive radiation

@SooperSarah my urologist was excellent as was my oncologist. I was given a wide range of options from doing nothing to prostate removal
@JohnnyNoir It's so comforting to have excellent doctors.
All my oncologists were wonderful. I consider myself lucky to get treatment from my lead oncologist before he retired.

@SooperSarah Mine, plus the techs who worked with me were wonderful. It's a scary enough thing go through, but being made to feel at ease and in good hands helped a lot.

@SooperSarah I am so happy beyond words when you get your check ups done and are clear. I wish I could go with you for moral support 🩷🩷🩷.
