Everyone here is from ep
Theyitis · 36-40, M
Yeah, it seems like it was easier to find good stories on Experience Project than it is here. Feel free to rewrite some of your old stories if you remember them or to write new ones.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Try these two links for your old ep posts if you can't get access to your zip files:
https://web.archive.org/web/20110923231305/http://www.experienceproject.com/about/(yourusername)
https://web.archive.org/web/20180310120749/http://www.experienceproject.com/
The second without the username you'll have to hunt unfortunately.
It may be possible to even log in. Though am totally uncertain if you can. The option is on the first page link

@DeWayfarer I'm trying that now, thank you!

Yep, same. I put off downloading my data as I was starting fresh here and from scratch. Then when I wanted to get it, it was no longer available. So that's on me.
Imsleepy · 31-35
I’m from there. I miss that site and some of the people I met. It would definitely be interesting to see all my old post.
Sapio · 51-55, M
You can import your data from Experience Project. Go to Account Settings and go down to Import E0P Profile.

@Sapio SW support won't be able to help with anything on EP. If a backup still exists somewhere, only EP support will have access to it and I highly doubt they'll still read their emails 8 years after closing, if the domain is even registered still.
@NerdyPotato The site is no longer on the Internet, so I'd say that anything that was there is long gone now.
NerdyPotato · M
@HootyTheNightOwl I would be surprised if they haven't kept a private backup after all those years of work on it, but it will be near impossible to get in touch with the team now and they certainly aren't going to restore it (not even privately) to export one more profile.

The chats I had with people, the connections we made!
Richard65 · M
I was never on EP, I'm relatively new to this site. I understand EP was shut down because US laws made it difficult to maintain privacy and the site lacked cohesion of subject matter. I wasn't aware EP was created originally as a forum specifically for MS sufferers to share their experiences.
So you were on EP when you were 15?
ABCDEF7 · M
I had this same name at EP also. What name you had at EP?
ABCDEF7 · M
@DeWayfarer No you can't.
It's just like a HTML screenshot of that page. It is static HTML and non functional.

@ABCDEF7 well the login dialogue popped up! 🤷🏻♂️
ABCDEF7 · M
@DeWayfarer That is part of HTML. But it can't work.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Former EP refugee here🙋♂️back shortly before EP shut down SW had a place you could enter your username to port your profile in.

I think it’s probably a good thing that I cannot recover my old EP posts. But I do miss some of the stories — some were very indelible
Tumbleweed · F
