Catfish selfie posts creep me out

I always think this poor girl is out there somewhere with no clue someone is pretending to be her. It's like a form of identity theft.

That’s part of the reason why I’m not up for posting pics of myself. Not that I’m particularly attractive or anything, but I just hate the idea of someone doing that and me not knowing about it.

I have those same feelings about lots of internet photos.

The catfish ones, the captioned ones, the funny ones. Do the people in the photos give consent?

And then there are the nude or erotic photos that are supposedly just for her partner, but he puts them online without her knowledge.

I read an account by someone who used to visit a site about "show your wife", and he felt sickened when he recognized his son's wife. He wrestled with what to do, but finally decided to have a painful conversation with his son, which he began with "we both have a problem.'

That is almost surely true, and it really is a serious violation to me, also.

You can also tell when they are fake because they look manniquinish.

Indeed! That's exactly what it is.

Meh half of them are AI generated. Infact I heard people are using AI to make OF and make money like wtf

It's not like a form of identity theft. It is a form of identity theft. It makes me sick.
Lilnonames · F
Most times the pics they steal are someone they know
@Lilnonames that makes it even creepier
