Yes. When I worked in a hotel. A guy came down to complain about an issue with the water. My manager was already with the plumber, showing him where to go; and would return in a few minutes. I explained the situation to the guest. He demanded to speak to my manager. I said she was on her way back. He started screaming at me to get her on the phone because he wanted to speak to her immediately.
I explained again that she was already on her way back to the front desk. So he started yelling at me again. I said he can go scream at security instead since they’re about his size. My manager showed up, and the guy gets all hurt-sounding, and said I wasn’t treating him like a person, and that I needed some serious sensitivity training. They gave him a free meal at the restaurant and comped his room. They didn’t talk with me over it, because they knew it was BS. They just want people to shut up. That’s what I learned about hotel/casinos. They’ll comp nearly everything if only someone kicks up enough of a stink. 🙄 He would have been comped anyway because the water issue. But the free meal? Good grief.

Got a phone call the lady asked for someone I didnt know so it was a wrong number and told her so. She began arguing she had called the correct number so I said what my number was so she would know. Her reply was priceless in a very arrogant tone she said I didnt call that number!!! Lol I hung up

Oh, yeah…
My parents had lived in the hills forever (Pop still lives there). Décades ago, they spent two months in New Orleans during my grandfather’s last illness. While they were gone, some new neighbors moved in across the street.
On the day the folks were scheduled to return, my brother and I went to the house, to make sure everything was okay. Another neighbor, who knew us, had been collecting the newspapers.
But these new neighbors, particularly the wife, who didn’t know us and had never even met our parents, called the police and told them we were robbing the house. One of the police who arrived on the call was my brother’s colleague.
