People act like weed is terrible but they gonna have a drank later lol

I sold medical marijuana in a dispensary. It's saving peoples lives
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
@NativePortlander1970 no it's not. I have my med card. Most dispensaries have completely different rooms for purchasing weed so med patients have better selection and a quieter atmosphere. It's kinda great.
@AlchemyFox Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, California, Washington DC, Nevada, Maine, Minnesota, Illinois, ALL of these states that once were medical BEFORE ALL threw patients under the bus one way or another once they became adult use recreational, the most common being more restrictive home grow rules, one friend in Redding, California, moved back to his home town of Scranton, Pennsylvania, because when Cali passed AUMA, they nullified the Kelly Rule, which permitted unlimited plants, forcing indoor growing within city limits, plants need space to grow, severely limited purchase amounts, and outlawed medical coops. Just because your state remained friendly doesn't mean the others didn't remain that way. I am an advocate and activist for medical Cannabis therapy, I do not support recreational because I have seen the devastating results against patients in pretty much every other state other than Delaware. Don't be ignorant.

I'm in Canada where it's nationally legal. It's fine society hasn't collapsed.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
I don't care what many people say.

I think it should be illegal and stay illegal.
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
We need legal heroin and cocaine too.
TrashCat · M
@GlitterEater Cocaine is good for you. It lowers the risk of diabetes
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
It hasn't been legal long enough for the shops to get up and running yet. It's nice knowing I won't go to jail for responsibly managing my chronic pain in my own home.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Weed is still a felony here. Washington needs to legalize it nationwide. Or at least change the banking laws so weed related businesses can use "normal" banks.
JustNik · 51-55, F
My state is new to it so it’s slowly ramping up. I’m good with it. If alcohol and cigarettes can be legal, I just see no reason why marijuana can’t.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Haven't noticed any change in the world around me at all.
Crime rate went down. When it's legal nationally it will be better for growers. There's still a black market. National legalization may take organized crime out of the equation completely.
@JonLosAngeles66 Crime in the Denver area has actually increased.
@NativePortlander1970 "In the Colorado region, from 2003-2012 (pre legalization), the average number of property crimes per 100,000 residents was 2,364. Following legalization, from 2012 to 2016, property crimes decreased to an average of 2,034 per 100,000 residents." https://www.ebpsociety.org/blog/education/525-the-effect-of-marijuana-legalization-on-crime-rates#:~:text=In%20the%20Colorado%20region%2C%20from,of%202%2C034%20per%20100%2C000%20residents.
@JonLosAngeles66 What a load of shit, property crime? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♀️🙄 How about personal crime, hmmm? My BFF grew up in the worst neighborhood in all of Colorado, East Colfax, around East High School on York, she now lives a few blocks off East Colfax near Yosemite. I talk with her almost daily on the phone, she tells me there are daily shootings, she has lost numerous classmates and neighbors in those shootings, the majority of them due to drugs, specifically the weed black market that is thriving there. You're in SoCal, you do not know jack shit about what's going on in Colorado, so shut the fuck up.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
I love the fact that it’s legal in MA. I’m not a drinker, so a nice sativa pre roll is a great evening relaxer.

Like anything, moderation is best.
Iwillwait · M
I am all for the Decriminalization of the substance, but the recreational use free for all has made all of our drivers dumb.
In Missouri its had a similar effect to Colorado. At least in my city crime has dropped a lot
WhateverWorks · 36-40
🤷🏻‍♀️ it is what it is. I wouldn’t describe it as working out well, but I do t think it should be illegal again.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Not legal here, but don't use and don't care.

I care more about my life then using dope
It made weed more expensive. I can only imagine how much is made off of taxing it
FurryFace · 61-69, M
i think its about time and it helps me bteath with my copd
Jessmari · 41-45
Nothing changed except for the number of dispensaries.
HannahSky · F
There's positive and negatives, like everything.
RedBaron · M
It’s about 50 years overdue.
Wiseacre · F
Idc...no interest.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Couldn't care less.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I'm one of the ones who voted for it, Ironically, I do it the least I ever have, we're talking a few times a year, months apart.
I do, and I’m fine with it. It’s no more of problem than tobacco or alcohol.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I live in Canada where it’s legal every where and it’s fine
I'm disappointed that legalization efforts are not doing anything to address the sustainability of growing this generally thirsty, non-native plant (particularly the bonkers scenarios of growing it indoors, using effing electricity)

Yay, let's destroy the environment so stoners can get baked 🙄
The black market from legal states to prohibition states has increased, those who are allowed to homegrow are making money hand over fist.
