Coming from a developing nation, back in 2000's, population control and ongoing population explosion was made a huge topic. It was advised to have 1-2 kids and lessen burden of resource consumption.

Fast forward 20 years, now it's advised to have a TFR of 2.1 and talks of population decline and demographic dividend shifting to old people is talked upon.

Funny how we moved from one to another paradigm

The same people who pushed population control are now the same people who advocate for open borders.. And thus they are advocating for unrestricted population explosion in their nations and these are the same people who talk about the evils of the large carbon footprint that western individuels place upon the earth.. So they again advocate open borders to increase the population of western people and thus increase the size of the western carbon footprint..

The scatter brained foolishness of these woke western fascists is a source of hilarity..

population growth and economic stability are mutually exclusive these days. With all the greenie nonsense, inflation, & politicization of everything, it's difficult enough for adults to get by, let alone when they throw kids into the mix

The world is going to shit, and there isn't much incentive for honest people to have kids anymore...

Just like they preach about climate..but did anyone know they said its "too warm"
And years later it shifts to its "too cold" and so on for the sheep to believe..

The REAL TRUTH, Media and the people

They want to control people yet sadly some people do not see that as they are brainwashed and conditioned.

There's just too many people ...
We're going off the cliff. Nobody can talk, anyway. It's a gaslighting, snide species that can't go anymore.
Bombs away!!!

The world has always been like this. Do what you want to do and can do. There are no guarantees, there never have been any.

It’s good to have less sex when you’re having too much and more when you’re having too little

Any given country may be lamenting declining birth rates but the planet as a whole still has waaaaaaaaaaaay more people than it ever did prior to the Industrial Revolution

It shows the legitimate need for the dissolution of nations, instituting a one world (planetary) government, the dissolution of the concept of families, the transfer of procreation from individuals, to something managed in labs by the state, and the adoption of a universal language across the globe

@SW-User The growth rate is already on decline, not growth as such. https://www.researchgate.net/figure/World-population-and-growth-rate-1750-2015-and-projections-until-2100-Source-Roser_fig1_340028898

Secondly due to better medical facilities average life expectancy has gone up, where as the generational growth in population is falling. Japan and China are facing this problem specifically

@Darksideinthenight2 right I was just proposing different views and we have proponents of both ideas. Two decades ago we had only with opinion similar to what u mentioned. But nowadays there is an alternative opinion that's it's okay we can manage a large population given we have cheaper renewable energy( look at solar panel price falling), genetically modified food etc

@Genelia I believe all the predictions based on statistics like birth rates, average longevity etc. will become meaningless as the catastrophic consequences of climate change play out. I foresee unpredictably large decreases in population, perhaps over fairly short time spans.
