Population grown vs decline

Coming from a developing nation, back in 2000's, population control and ongoing population explosion was made a huge topic. It was advised to have 1-2 kids and lessen burden of resource consumption.

Fast forward 20 years, now it's advised to have a TFR of 2.1 and talks of population decline and demographic dividend shifting to old people is talked upon.

Funny how we moved from one to another paradigm

population growth and economic stability are mutually exclusive these days. With all the greenie nonsense, inflation, & politicization of everything, it's difficult enough for adults to get by, let alone when they throw kids into the mix

The world is going to shit, and there isn't much incentive for honest people to have kids anymore...
