People who unsubscribed from their once favorite YouTuber, what made you hit "unsubscribe"?

I've done this a few times lately. It makes me sad because it's not really that they have changed for the worse or anything. They are still quality content makers. I just maybe lose interest in the type of content they put out. When I realize I never watch their stuff anymore and have no real desire to anymore I unsubscribe.

I will go through my subscribed channels and decide if I ever watch them or not and if I don't I unsubscribe.
I don't believe I have favorite YouTubers as individuals is more about content for me.

Got bored with it. Besides, if I am familiar with a channel, I do not need to subscribe in order to find them.

And expanding on what @Royricky09 said, I have seen that on a couple channels, although to a bigger degree.
One was some lady giving French language lessons, but then started talking politics in her videos. Of course this same youtuber is getting desperate so is trying ANY trick possible to gain subs and views.


But yeah, everyone is jumping on the politics bandwagon right now it seems.

It's very rare I subscribe in the first place and if then I make sure it's someone who doesn't release videos very frequently or I turn off notifications. Who needs to subscribe when the algorithm shows videos of the channel you watch often in your feed anyway?

The reason I unsubscribed: very low quality of image and sound, unnecessarily long and boring content

I don’t have a favorite. I subscribe to a bunch of people who speak interesting stuff. TheWhyFiles is one of them.

I've grown up since then and I simply like different things now

Changing from content I am interested in to something entirely different.

Usually it's because I follow too many channels and theirs was getting repetitive.

Mostly boredom I get bored easily. If they start talking too much I get annoyed

I'm no longer in alignment with their content.

I do watch YouTube, but I have not subscribed to anybody.

That's extremely rare for me. When some subscribed to you, I'm subscribed for life unless you say or do something so objectively awful that I cannot in good conscience continue to be associated with you.

Disliking the content?

When they shift from the main content to a different one

For example valutainment - from business educational to politics

Usually it requires a degredation in content quality.

They are no longer active, but never bothered to close their account

if they post a farewell video

make content which is pointless
