Yeah I'm not too sure. I would just get on, ask my question and go do something else. Or I might answer other questions.
For me I wish they would have had a reply section, so I would use the additional question to reply back but they got rid of that too

@Matt85 I know that it will never happen, but I'm surprised that no one has tried to create a site that mirrors Yahoo Answers given how popular it was. That site will always be a huge nostalgia point for me, and these days when it's remembered it's only remembered for the silly questions people asked with no regard for the community, and just the time period itself when it was popular.

I first joined it in 2008. It was thriving then. Thousands of questions and answers every single day. Sure, most of them were trolls, but everybody was having fun, and it didn't matter.
I think its downfall began in 2013, and it was just a long, slow decline. The biggest mistake they ever made on that website was automating moderation. It was horrible. You'd see blatant Nazi posts, and I mean literally praising Hitler and blatantly blaming the Jews for everything. You'd click the little flag because trolling is trolling, but that was a bridge too far. And the question would be gone for less than a day before popping back up. Then they were invincible.
And the Nazis and the other destroyers just took over. They always do.

The whole website was active from 2005 to 2012/13
Bri89 · 31-35, M
@DanielsASJ Yes, and then they just had to go and change everything and mess up a good thing.
DanielsASJ · 36-40, M
@Bri89 Why did they do it? Was it the advent of Google?
Bri89 · 31-35, M
@DanielsASJ No, some other company bought it and changed it probably because they wanted to get rid of it.
