It wasn't a better site - just had a group of people that complimented each other - (I'm agreeing the atmosphere was better) - although there were a couple of dry periods. And towards the end it was on life-support.

I do remember how playful it could be - and how pre-covid there was a period of time where we would post a pic with a mask on.

Wonder if we had the same rash of catfish - probably - but it's so obvious now.

I blame COVID and the contentious American politics for driving people away - or at least making them silent.

Ahhh yes indeed! I was on EP for 4ish years before it went RIP. Hard to believe it's been almost a full decade. A different time and place, which we can (sadly) never return to.

It was a more supportive environment in my experience - I do miss that.

What I did was saved my data from there. Once in a while I would take time to read old messages or works from there.
Really a good time (even if there’s few hiccups).

Ditto. It was far superior, it's quite obvious it was.
There were some excellent quality writers. It wasn't all shallow jokes, memes and nonsense. 🥱

EP was in a league of its own when it came to social networking, it gave me some great memories and I made some good friends there.

In April, it will have been gone for ten years. I suspect people romanticize its memory, because while it existed (I was there from late 2009 until it closed) posters had plenty of complaints.

Yes it was fun. But thats due to the peopke, so why cant SW be just as good?

EP had more interesting groups and people were more open to talk about different topics.

I miss it too was on there 7 years it was so hot and spontaneous.....

I posted more there, stories and poems. It was just different.

It’s been gone 10 years now. Cool people still talk about it.
