I Was On The 'Experience Project'

A couple of years, I think (?!) before it ended. Met some lovely people. I lied about my age - I was around 13 or 14, maybe...maybe older - and loved chatting to all manner of people. My big sister was on there too, @SammyJo, and I think some people put two and two together and got me booted off for being underage.

But still, the time I was there I enjoyed. Some fascinating people. Some real love affairs. Some very interesting conversations!

I discovered EP a few months before it shut down, so I missed its best period. But I did get a taste of it. SW is the closest thing to it even if it's not the same.

Jeez. I was on EP for years. Can't even remember how many. Met some cool people. Even had a friend I met on there send me a birthday gift in the mail. We don't talk much with them being on the Gulf Coast but I like to check up on her just to make sure she is doing well.

And I believe that is where we first ran into each other.

@AmberDuponte For sure. That does complicate things. But I also saw it as kind of like a relationship that ended badly. You sure as hell don't want to go back but you can still wish them well in someone else's life.

@AmberDuponte Yeah. I found out that her husband and I are alot alike in some ways. She got me talking with him so I got his perspective on everything too.

I do worry that her kids end up going off the deep end trying to live up to the long shadow of their mum.

I just hope everyone finds some happiness and some measure of peace in their lives whatever that ends up looking like.

I was on EP for about 2 years before it closed. Not everyone heard of SW, so sadly, I didn't join. A few did and didn't give it a chance and left to go to another site, which I believe closed down too.

I was on EP for a while met a couple of people on there that I had fun conversating with. I even found somebody I kind of liked for a while and although they were in Holland supposedly I didn't mind talking to them. But when it came down to it and they wanted me to fly all the way there and parachute into the middle of Eindhoven to see them it became ridiculous and I was kind of irritated. So I fell back for a while. I can even recall the screen name to this day

A couple of years before it ended must have been around 2015. Being 13 in 2015 makes you now be 22 if I am not mistaken. I I still have an issue with the age given on your profile... 😂

I was there too. Though we never crossed paths. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know a few delightful people and the unpleasantness of meeting a couple of trolls. I miss some of those folks. We just touch when EP closed. I wonder what their lives are like now. It was a fascinating time.

@AmberDuponte well the comment sounds awful but some people are gross. Interactive and surreal could be interesting. I was just curious. From time to time people post about EP and it makes me curious if it was better or why it became SW, branding maybe?

@GinPanda Yes, it was. My sister used to 'EP Date' this lovely man called, I think, CaptainBucky - and his things were very 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' - like, but very funny. There were lots of lovely people, through my formative years, that helped me - Art, TheRealWoman, Margie, MartaSpain being some that come to mind. Of course, @arthurca and @MartaSpain being on here still.

Some posts, I recall were very 'Monty Python' esque....

It was fun.
