This post is basically judgemental of those who comment on a post.

But the post too needs to be judged for its quality. Choice of words in a post can drive people go nuts. Tone, message, assertion, conclusion that are parts of the post too can be blamed. For instance your post is very clear and concise .. but many just make a post out of their emotional outburst and don't even care to edit.

I believe they are discounting political and religious reasons. Which together actually is the majority BTW.

There's an art to dissidence that few wish to acknowledge. Many in both areas knowingly use the technique.

Think of what spy agencies do in war situations. They sow disinformation purposely in enemy territory. Often with insults and bullying.

China is doing this at this moment and it's totally political. Only this is not a war situation. Yet it's not limited to just countries.

People do it all the time.

Ignoring it only encourages the brainwashing in everyone else. Which is a psychological technique by itself and why it happens in the first place!

The only way to stop it is to speak out against it! That breaks up the hypnotic affect and makes people think. It's not done for those that ignore. It's done for everyone else that doesn't. Which is the majority.

This is why ignoring it doesn't work. The disinformation gets spread anyway.

One bad apple CAN spoil most of the whole barrel. Even though a small minority of apples is not affected.

BTW you can only delete on your own posts. And if you don't speak out everywhere else they have won! Their disinformation has been sown.

@FoxyQueen No. And I have yet to be condescending to you.

Look at the pronouns above. Only mentioned "you" once as advice at the bottom.

Aak why are you taking what I said as personal? Are you not being condescending to any that argue?

If you can please see the politics groups you'll see much of what I say is true.

Yet if you ignore it then you are avoiding.

BTW I don't argue outside my comments. Nor will I use bad language or using insulting memes with ANYONE. Nor do I block or mute anyone.

Yet I will defend myself on my own posts and comments.

This has nothing to do with gender of ANY type! I do treat everyone the same. Including the LGBTQ which some are friends.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, FNew
@DeWayfarer Because it is a comment to my post, meaning, you are talking to me, not another person. It is personal. If you want to pontificate on this, create your own post and expand on it.

I'm also expanding on your comment that as a man, you only see a very small amount of comments based on what you interact with. As a woman, you get advice, comments, and opinions, like yours, that were never asked for out of the blue by men who seem to value their own thoughts as if they are extremely important.

Saying "I have LGBTQ+ friends" is the same as a racist saying "I have black friends!" I have numerous LGBTQ+ friends as well. I didn't drag them into this conversation to defend myself with.

It sounds like you need to work on socializing properly on social media, self importance, and how not to deflect yourself onto others.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@FoxyQueen Rarely do I talk to just the OP.

I do recognize that others are reading what I write.

As to you being a woman, I do understand that it is different. In fact I many times show women how to avoid some of the problems they face. Especially regarding PM's.

Personally I don't initiate conversations in PM's with anyone. Yet I know this site like the back of my hand. Because I once was a admin myself. Not on this site.

You might be surprised what type of site. Yet I can tell you would try to use that against me because of your critic of what I already wrote.

You do sound angry to be addressed by men. And that is sad. 😞

@SomeMichGuy While mean can be subjective, there is definitely obvious mean things commented, like the use of name calling, degrading, denigriating, etc., anything that would be considered bullying or even abuse.

Obviously, unless you know the person, you can't make a tailor made mean comment to ensure the most effective hurt, but you can certainly make the intention clear other ways.

If you transgressed here, I missed it.
@FoxyQueen
I am not always as good as the Golden Rule requires.

But thanks.

And yes, the list you presented is pretty bad.

People can be Dominant but they can be kind and respectful.... Some of us Dominant guys are really nice , not scarry .....
masterofyou · 70-79, M
@Tumbleweed i can't understand why people are nasty and mean, it doesn't get them anywhere so foolish to be mean.... Love ❤ is always the answer.... Being Romantic, sensual, naughty is the only way to be... Always loving...
masterofyou · 70-79, M
@Tumbleweed You're such a beautiful woman inside 💖 and out

@masterofyou Thank you Master! 🫂

One big one left out is the need to feel successful. It might fit a little under domination, but this in particular is about self esteem. A more common way this shows up is the phenomenon of needing to "Keep up with the Joneses" which is displayed through reckles financial behavior performed to give the appearance that you are just as rich as your neighbors. This tends to demonstrate as meanness when the person does not feel that they have any avenue to show their superiority. So instead of trying to improve themselves they focus on trying to drag others down. Instead of trying to get a better engine for a boat race, they find it easier to just put holes in everyone else's boat.
Misunderstanding is another one, where someone writes one thing, but the reader interprets it differently.

Also those with an agenda, you see a lot of that with Rumper's, who will defend him despite anything logical. They have no issues offending people.
NoxAeterna · 41-45, M
Next you can spreadsheet and track this for a month to see which category is the most prevalent. I think the asserting of dominance to compensate for personal inadequacies is going to be a popular one.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@NoxAeterna I agree. This tends to flare up even more when stress is placed on individuals. they tend to look for stress relief by "kicking the cat" who cant hit back..😷
Infamous607 · 46-50, M
I liked this post. Im Going to check the site you mention.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Sadly, many of those who deride others in places like this do so because they feel the need to crush others to support their own fragile egos..I suppose we should pity them.. But it is difficult..😷
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I often disagree w people on here. I don’t call people names though or make it a personal attack by calling someone stupid or ignorant.
I don’t mind if people call me names though.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, FNew
@AthrillatheHunt Disagreeing is different than simply being mean.
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@AthrillatheHunt I try to adhere to this myself. Some of them really try my patience sometimes though 😅
if I dont like the post. no need in wasting time bad mouthing someone, skip to the next one, welcome to S,W,
@jackrabbit10 thanks, ❤

Psychotic? Lol.
Subjectivity, interpretation and perception play a huge roll. Unless it's blatantly obvious, we really don't know what someone's true objective or intent is.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, FNew
@Magenta I did admit that seems like a pretty heavy level to place on people. I don't believe they all are psychotic, but I will say the majority could do with some therapy or empathy lessons.
@Magenta it seems pretty obvious that mental illness plays an important role in the drama around here, and all social media for that matter
Magenta · F
@FoxyQueen Yes, I do agree with you both.
Maladaptive behavior in an attempt to cope with personal difficulties.

Unhappy about themselves so taking it out on others is my guess
JackHoff · 46-50, M
The trolls will come out anytime to say mean stuff. Just block and move on.
pride49 · 31-35, M
Searches for electron memes claiming they can't be positive and fails 😅
You hardly need a professional opinion for that. Were it not for mental illness, social media meanness would be unheard of
FoxyQueen · 51-55, FNew
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP I didn't research long lol

Get used to it, love. This place is crawling with trolls.

@JohnOlinger81 I think low self esteem and low self value definitely play into a lot of it.
