If you've ever blocked someone, why did you do it or why did you block the last person?

I will block pervs or nasty, abusive people. I don't need that dreck in my feed.

He asked me my name and I felt like he wasn't being friendly, he was trying to gain personal information. I've changed my user name like 3 times. But if I had wanted people to know I would've offered the info out.

I used to never block. One year ago i blocked for the first time. Why? His hatefulness was too much.
Since then i have blocked four members that i presume are underage.

Perverts, Trolls, & others who get under my skin (circular arguments for example or posting redundant things).

I've used the block option twice. The first time was due to the sexual nature of a message question. The second time was because someone had blocked me for the fourth or fifth time, as some "time out" punishment for [i]displeasing[/i] them.

I don't usually block someone, so when I do it means they have really been rude. Mostly if someone replies with hate towards others when making a comment on one of my posts. I don't stand for that. I will block though if someone consistently pressures me for not responding fast enough. I don't want to feel pressure while on here.

Usually because I just don't want to see their political views. We blocked the last man because he kept begging my wife for sex.

I block people who message me and try to talk about sex or send me nudes. I love to chat, but it clearly says on my profile that I am asexual, and I tell people that who text me. If they keep on trying to talk about sex, after I tell them no a couple of times, I block them. There’s plenty of people on here who love that, but I ain’t the one.

It depends. Sometimes it's because they were genuinely harassing me or others but sometimes (most of the time) I just block people I don't want to interact with. Because if I mute them there's still a chance they can interact with me in the replies of other posts. And I find even the potential of that irritating.

They posted their pecker and didn't mark the post as nudity.

Usually, it's either because they creep me out, or I get tired of trying to discuss things with people who just will not even consider meeting me half-way in a subject. And then there are the irredeemable cabal of cretins, morons and other assorted idiots with far right wing"christian" opinions . So I'm getting ready to block a few I haven't got round to yet.

I have blocked a couple of foot fetish people just so I won't have to see their posts. Reason: feet disgust me. It's nothing personal.

The rest of the people I blocked are either racist, sexist, pedo, transphobic, homophobic or otherwise discriminating.

I've posted on this matter in the past already. I feel like those that block often aren't really nice people. I posted something on a book and got a smart aleck comment back. Alright, I told me myself I'll use the English the correct way. "How queintly put :-) hello fellow booklover!" I got blocked

Under 18's and scammers get blocked instantly.

Perv spammers if their posts clog up my feed like that enema lady, OR if someone is a persistent serious a-hole. They get blocked too but not as quickly. I try to give benefit of doubt.

I do not block over mere disagreements. There's a few I often disagree with but that is not reason to block.

I block for what's left of my sanity

I’m starting to block people that avoid me because it’s not like I’m going to reach out and bite them if they answer my posts. I block shallow people. I block vicious people as well.

I was in a bad mood. I really didn't have to block that one. 😆
Since the last year I really don't give it much thought and just block if I feel like it.

I have blocked a couple folks for asking to see pics of my kids. Sorry, they’re off limits.

They are sick in their minds and think kids are fair game or they try to push thier sexually kinks , both get blocked.

I don't block. Most people I don't like end up blocking me anyway, so the trash takes itself out.

I block anyone who posts about stuff I don't like. Its just to avoid them.

I have blocked stalkers, pervs, rude people. But I have a small list so far. lol

Mainly because they just wanted to argue; they kept going around and around, even contradicting their own points, simply to be disagreeable. It became tiresome. 🤨

We needed a break from each other I feel like. Often times, when I block its not because I dont like them. Its not because they suck but because i need time to process my feelings so that I can better communicate with them.

I often block people to keep myself from messaging them again after they were not interested in the topic i had hoped to chat about.

I run it by my board of directors, they make the decision and if deemed appropriate they block the profile.

Being an arsehole to the high standard I set that relatively few match.

Because they posted a comment that I found to be vile and disgusting.
