I kinda think congratulating someone for making a post or comment could come across like I'm being sarcastic but I have a lot of friends that use it all the time so I know that's just my interpretation of it. 乂º◡º乂
@bijouxbroussard I understand and I know you don't use it sarcastically and I know the emoji isn't really designed for that purpose either.
Like I say it's just my interpretation that it has a certain ambiguous quality which puts me off using it but I don't give it any thought when my friends or other people do. 乂º◡º乂
@ThePatientAnarchist I used to use the smirk (😏) a ton until some people told me they hated that emoji. I still use the facepalm (🤦♀) and the shrug (🤷♀) a lot, but again, people have told me those can be misinterpreted. Now a lot of the time when I'd like to be more expressive, I just use :) .
@ThePatientAnarchist it's just easier to use words than to be searching for an emoji, unless the emoji comes up after I type the word. I mostly use the yellow face ones and a some of the hand and finger ones.
@Prettybratbi1tch do you leave them yellow, or adjust them to your skin colour? I find that option offputting personally but I know some people like to use it.
@ThePatientAnarchist People use it when describing something delicious. I prefer to use this: 🥴 even if it's not very clear. But I find drooling gross.
@Coralmist I would never use that one. To me it is part of the coarsening of how people think and talk, and goes along with people saying "shit" when they mean "stuff" and throwing around random F-bombs.
@ThePatientAnarchist Ever since it's come out, I thought really??? Really?! It's just really crass to me. And don't get me wrong I Love humor! But that one is just ick to me lol.
