Good. But there's 2 other apps also owned by bytedance. So if TikTok is being banned/shut down, shouldn't the other 2 apps be banned/shut down as well if it's all the same company?

Honestly social media has torn everything apart. I don't want any of it around anymore. Places like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. I use Snapchat but only for using the filters, I didn't know you could chat on there.

And if people want to keep in touch with others, there's this thing called a phone.

Students posting school FIGHTS on that site a year or two ago. I think it helped to fuel the fights. Doesn’t break my heart to see it go.

if youre using an apple product you recently got an update where ai tracks everything you do. texts, calls, internet, etc etc, so they can advertise to you and watch how you use your phone. you have to go through each individual app and manually opt out.

tiktok is being banned to limit free speech. i suspect they'll go about banning nearly every non-american owned app

I can't get worked up about it...mainly because I would rather have my right hand chopped off than use a Communist Chinese social media website...but there sure are a lot of people making money on the website that would become impoverished if it is banned.
