CNN said that the winds have died (edit) but there is 0%containment. Burning at the rate of 5 football fields a minute! 😥

This was about 2 hours ago. They were trying to start some type of containment with their 8 aircraft (helicopters and planes). 0% containment is the lowest possible, it is sad that with the resources that they were deploying that the incident you mentioned couldn’t be avoided.

@TryingtoLava The wind is definitely a problem.
People from other states wonder why we claim only two seasons, Rainy season and Fire season. Unfortunately one is quite a bit longer than the other.

Hopefully, it's a lot of fuss about nothing - but it's better to evacuate if you are told to and you don't NEED to be there.

It could be that they're more worried about the smoke on your lungs than the actual flames. I found it hard to witness someone I was close to struggling to breathe because of wildfires.

Current even further south. Out of the danger zone, of any forest or bush fire.
