Smh.

I'm like an oil drill,

I will find something to talk about.

And there are a lot of deep souls on here.

Respect.

🙏

@Umile I don’t get the oil drill reference?
Umile · 41-45, F
@Workerbee I'm no expert. But, I think that drilling for oil aint easy.

Just like conversations.

But.

I'll look for something to talk about.

@Workerbee The oil drilling process can be used as an analogy to facilitate good communication with people who are boring and struggle to keep conversations going. Here are some ways to apply this analogy:

1. Drilling for Common Ground: Just as oil drilling involves identifying the right location and depth to extract oil, you can use the analogy to find common interests or topics that resonate with the person. This helps establish a connection and keeps the conversation flowing.

2. Preparation is Key: Before engaging in a conversation, prepare by doing some research on the person's interests or background. This is similar to the geological surveys and planning that precede oil drilling. This preparation helps you tailor your conversation and keep it engaging.

3. Drilling Down to Details: When discussing a topic, drill down to specific details and examples. This is similar to the process of drilling through different layers of rock to reach the oil deposit. Providing concrete details helps to keep the conversation interesting and prevents it from becoming too general or superficial.

4. Casing the Conversation: Just as casing strings are used to stabilize the wellbore, you can use specific questions or topics to "case" the conversation and keep it on track. This helps to prevent the conversation from becoming too scattered or unfocused.

5. Rotating the Conversation: Rotate the conversation by introducing new topics or perspectives. This is similar to the rotation of the drill bit as it cuts through the rock. Introducing new ideas keeps the conversation fresh and prevents it from becoming stale.

6. Cementing the Connection: Finally, cementing the connection by summarizing key points or reiterating common interests helps to solidify the conversation and keep it engaging. This is similar to the cementing process in oil drilling, where the casing is secured in place to prevent leaks.

By applying these analogies, you can use the oil drilling process to improve communication and keep conversations flowing with people who are boring and struggle to keep them going.

I have only really messeged back and forth with 1 friend and she always very interesting and deep.

The only other messeges I've had are from people who wanted to tell me about them pissing themselves. :(

@Matt85 these fetishists are something else, almost makes you think they are mentally damaged
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
I typically find that I am probably the boring one tbh😌
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
@slorollin both 🤔 is it working
slorollin · 41-45, M
@LilPrincess I'm sorry, what? 🐿️
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
@slorollin exactly 🐿
BOREDAFPA · 41-45, M
I've talked to some really nice people. If anything I don't want to bug anybody so I eventually get quiet
Ferric67 · M
First off, I have very few message interactions, it wouldn't be unusual to go a whole week without any. Funny thing today though, I've had two.
Most messages are fluff in content, and do fizzle out without any umpf.
I love to write, so if need be, i can write a manifesto...but, I find most people are not too inspired to read and respond.
“People that message you” 🤔

There’s a messaging function here?!?! 😮
I’ve been here for eleventy years, why was I not made aware of this? 😞

One of my favorite things to do on SW is find the appropriate emoji to use 😌

How do you think I did? 🤓

I feel I'm not an entertainer to people's expectations.
Probably why I don't private message here
Workerbee · 31-35, M
@Justmeraeagain people don’t message you I presume? That’s what the question is based off of.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Workerbee I didn't say that
Workerbee · 31-35, M
@Justmeraeagain 🤦🏾‍♂️.
blackarcher256 · 61-69, M
I’ll report back after I’ve had more experience of what you speak.
exexec · 61-69, C
Sometimes that happens, but usually we can converse for a while.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
