I do. But for some reasons I find it very stressful.

Your last line is exactly right. Hardly anyone updates Linkedin. The information on there can be many years old. I have known a few guys that were laid off, or fired, but still show the company as their active one, and its been like 10+ years.
How that helps them I am not sure, but just saying, don't believe everything you see.

I do but I haven't really used it to get new jobs. I'm happy with where I am. I use it more for keeping in touch with friends really lol.

It's kind of funny and ironic... If a government organisation wanted to surveil you as much as private enterprise does there would be riots in the streets

It's very important to developing your career, you can also develop it through the site through job ads, etc.

LinkedIn is mainly used for those on probation or Unemployment so people can show they're applying for a job

I use it. I only add people to LinkedIn that I know well in real life. I haven’t updated in several years.
