Changing your user name…..thoughts on this

eh, their plans would quickly be foiled if they tried that, when people saw that their gifts & old posts are different. I've changed my name before, it didn't keep me up at night.

I was once told I took a name they intended to use even though it's mine unchanged since EP. Now I keep it to protect its legacy. Sorry, I mean for spite.

I dont give a f*ck if anyone takes any of my previous usernames

They can take a username but they can't be me, they aren't me

I had changed mine and immediately regretted it, luckily the amazing sw support staff changed it back

That wouldn’t worry me much. If changing my name here meant having to reconnect with current friends then that would come into play. But as it is everyone on your friends list just sees the new name and knows right away it’s you

I remember it was just a week or two from the time I wrote the simple poem one night and coming upon similar worlds not long after and the name was just there to use. Nothing planned, but remember being surprized that it hadn't already been taken..

I changed my name to express my devotion to my SW Mistress 🥰. I did make a post at the time announcing that no one should be fooled if someone else started using my previous username :) I kind of doubt if that's likely to actually happen, though.

I changed mine a couple years ago. Never felt the need to change it back. I'd be pissed if someone took my username, but I'd have no one to blame for that but myself lol

I like yours. Mine was the very first one offered at random by a name generator. Sought it cuz a dozen I'd picked were already taken. No chance of change for me. 🤷‍♀️

I just changed my profile pic for the first time after being on SW for 3 years

That’s the only reason I won’t change it because one of my haters will steal it and use it to mock me 🙄

I changed mine. As much as i liked it, it just never seemed to fit like i thought it would .

I did keep my first one though. I loved that name . Was the first to use it.
It got stolen and used on intstagram (i think )- and that cheesed me off as i have used it for quite a few other sites.

Amd its why i keep this one. And will probably never delete this account .
I like my username, and will only allow myself to tarnish it 😁

I used to change it a lot on EP, I don't feel like doing it anymore.

I made a new account for my old name. Nobody would want to be me, but I'm paranoid like that

I've done it a few times and changed it back to Thecaterpillar. Someone did take my name on EP once and stole my profile picture. From what I could tell they didn't use it but it was creepy so yes that can happen

Never thought about it. I’m pretty low key so I doubt anyone would have fun with aboomachu.

I'm not interesting enough. Back on EP I knew a few who would open new accounts with similar names, as other's would take the name to get the attention of someone popular

Never thought about it but if i did hear that someone was pretending to be me id feel bad for them because they don't have a life outside of trying to be a troll
