The Superbowl is a great reminder that the NFL is a business and the competitors are really the sponsors who invest millions in developing and presenting commercials. And with a televised half-time performance apparently intended to lure younger views to tune in to watch the commercials, and who would likely otherwise be doing something else than watching :)

The extended half-time performances depart from the traditional talking-heads routines to present big shows that have nothing to do with the game itself beyond extend the traditional "rest and adjust" time between the two halves.

I think I shall pass this year for the first time ovwr 40 years. Haven't been watching it as much and yes, there is a bit of anti Trump / USA going on.

I'll be at a local Renaissance Fair that day lol.

I don't watch sports anymore really. It would feel disingenuine to watch the superbowl when I haven't watched a single game all year.

We always have a party with different bets on the game. Lots of fun win or lose.

No, not watching it. Football is a game of strategy but it's too slow for me. I find football as boring as Trump to watch for any length of time.

I watched the Bugs Bunny halftime show, but that was it. AFL football is extremely boring to watch because of those silly American rules.

It was the best halftime show I've ever seen from an AFL Super Bowl game and it's now time for English America to step up it's entertainment game if it wants to become relevant, or get off the stage and take Trump with you.
