Does anyone take ice baths or cold showers?

I have a warm shower and at the end turn the water slowly down to cold for a minute or two. I find it helps my arthritis a bit.

my showers are usually colder, it’s supposed to be better for your hair and skin so i like taking colder showers. or if it’s too cold out i’ll keep it warm and use cold water for the last few minutes. i find it helps soothe my anxiety a bit too

Im not a fan of the cold shower.
Ive had quite a few, never could make them a habit because of my deep disdain for ice water spraying at me.
but i'm curious, in what ways did this help with your long covid?

We had ice baths after rugby games at school to help reduce swelling from bruises and prevent build up of lactic acid in the muscles. I didn't much enjoy them, but they did the trick 🥶

I hear that cold showers are a good way to suppress sexual urges. (Not that I ever took one)

Cold showers are amazing... best thing there is to relieve stress

only in combination with a hot sauna

Not too surprised as I know cold water swimming does help certain conditions. I've not tried it though.

I take cold showers in the summer or if it’s really hot and hot showers in the winter or when it’s cold

I've only ever had one cold shower in my life, and that was on accident haha!

I only took them cause I had no hot water
