I don't know what is what? If you buy a brand new pair of Jeans from walmart...Wear it once and they rip on the outside of the pocket

You still have the tags and reciept and return them the next day? And they refuse the return because they were worn... Isn't there wear and tare? Who was in the right the costumer service clerk who refused to reemburse me, or should I have been given back my money?? I really don't know...What do you think?

Take it to the clerk’s supervisor or manager. A defective product that didn’t survive a single wear. Store managers at Walmart seem to have the authority to make on the spot decisions even if it doesn’t fit a refund code. I remember once being charged like $36 for a 6-pack of beer. The refund clerk discovered that it was $36 for the product code in the computer, but wasn’t able to override the computer, so she called her supervisor who also didn’t know how to override the computer. So she called the store manager who was afraid to change the computer price because she didn’t know what to change it to. So she she just treated it like a refund and gave me back the $36. When I then tried to give her back the 6 pack she told me to just keep it.

How did you come to conclude it was defective ... never said how they ripped or how bad the rip was
I’d say technically they’re right in terms of the jeans being worn but I’d guess if you had a different customer service clerk or asked to speak with a manager you would have at least gotten a store credit.

Won't get you anywhere but I think they should have replaced them or given you a refund. If you had a receipt I see no excuse. They've changed their ways because of receiptless scammers and a laxed return policy. But it's no loss for them to replace or refund you.
It's Walmart. They didn't pay squat to stock them.

@pdockal Actually it was torn while he was working for a construction company that coincidently was redoing the concrete in front of that exact Walmart store!!! The tear was about two inches across and one inch down near the pocket close to the zipper area.. He wore them once while working and tore them on the job while coincidently working on a job at that Walmart. They didn't do anything for the return. Even though it was the next day when I tried to return them with tags and a receipt and the tear. I was like well what about natural wear and tare and they were like no that's not natural wear and tear, no refund.

@saintsong

The pants were worn for construction
I'll assume the weren't work pants
Therfore they shouldn't be refundable

They would be covered under normal conditions

@pdockal They were a regular pair of Levi's Jeans, that got ruined after one day of wear... I guess it's my loss, I don't care...

Always ask for a manager or store manager.

A pair of jeans should last more than one wearing,surely

How did it rip? What caused it to tear?
saintsong · 41-45, F
@Mindful While working construction coincidently at that Walmart! The tear was about two inches across near the pocket and zipper area, and about one inch down like a right angle downward a full tear! After one use!
