I wish foxes were more social

There was one curled up in my garden once. My dog went after it. My friend said this is good cause foxes attack cats and I had 2 cats at the time.

I had a fox friend at a jobsite once. He would come sit with me almost everyday and i would feed him some of my lunch by hand

Don't see it happening with foxes. I hear that raccons may be evolving towards domestication though. Kinda makes sense.

The Soviets initiated a long-running experiment in the 1950s to breed tame foxes through selective breeding. Started by Soviet scientist Dmitri Belyaev, the goal was to replicate the domestication of wolves into dogs, but over a much shorter period, by only breeding the friendliest foxes. After generations of selective breeding, the foxes developed dog-like behaviors, such as wagging their tails and craving human attention, and also showed physical changes like floppy ears and curled tails.
