There are a lot of posts about going back in time. How about going back in time for a day to an era gone by.

I would fly to England, or France, and THEN go back in time to the Regency period. I would like to find a place in London serving High Tea, and dress in the clothing of the period. OR, in Paris, I would like to observe Toulouse Lautrec creating art on tablecloths at the Moulin Rouge.

That would be amazing, I'd goback to when I was young and photograph me and my family and where we lived .

Yes, I'd go back about 20 or 30 years if it was just for a quick visit.

I had to run an errand this morning in the city, and since it took me near the mall, I decided to stop and take a look; I hadn't been down there since some time before covid.

And...Sears is gone! 😞 It isn't unexpected, because I'd heard they hadn't been doing well for a while. But they've been the anchor store at every mall in this area since malls began. Also, I have fond memories of the giant Sears Roebuck catalog that contained everything from back to school clothing to farm implements and animals.

Silly as this sounds,i would wish to watch a huge Napoleonic era battle,like Waterloo,Eylau or Borodino.We have old jerky footage from WW1,in black and white.WW2 there is some colour footage.But obviously no film of the Napoleonic era.
There would have been over maybe 30000 men on both sides in quite a small area,in garishly coloured uniforms,all marching over the fields and cannon and huge cavalry forces charging here and there,it would have been an awe inspiring sight.If you could have stood on a hilltop in the distance and just observed.

It would be an experience, to go through all the decades since the inception of this country. Idk how fun it would be tho, since I wouldn't be allowed in restaurants etc bc of my skin color lol
