A question from my neice at age 11 while visiting the family doctor
Why do doctors get paid more when nurses do all of the work?
maybe the work ethic of the doctor is not the issue . a doctor is medically qualified to make life changing decisions on behalf of there patients and trained to do so . therefore they pay skill as the responsibility that comes with the position of a doctor compared to a nurse[vicidraco]

Look doing at your niece and rub her head and say 'Aww sweetie, Nurses do fuck all, its the Carers and Orderlies who do all the work.'

Doctors are medically trained to make diagnoses and prescribe medicine while nurses are not.

simply because docs know more

Did you and the doctor take the opportunity to explain the value of getting an education -- for both jobs, since the Registered Nurse delegates the more onerous tasks to the LVNs/LPNs and Nurse Assistants, who then count on the housekeepers and others to clean up the worst parts.

Explain to her that medical students attend boot camp before becoming doctors...it’s a long and arduous journey and deserve every dollar they earn.

That's very astute of her! I'd like to know the same thing
Astute observation. 🤔
