Do you think Camilla waved enough when she was on the Royal balcony ?

We have just had a coronation and the monarchy has been assured for another generation before the unbridled adoration of the whole country.

However, the ceremony wasn't perfect. Some people have criticized Camilla for not waving enough. I myself was perturbed when she fiddled with her ear. What do you think?

i'd make a Fake hand waver easy to operate it ust keeps waving as you relax and read the paper or watch youtube
Sterler45 · 36-40, M
It’s not something I’ve given any thought to it. Too busy living my life!

I think it's ridiculous to be so judgemental. It's easy to point a finger when other people have no clue what it's like to be in their's or anyone else's shoes...imho. 🤷

Who? Where? What? Something of real significance really happen? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wasn't Charles already crowned? See what I mean? 🤷🏻‍♂️

This was not significant. Just arranged to cause gossip. Probably as a diversion to keep away from the whole crowns existence.

Until the monarchy is dissolved there is only a facade at democracy.

Very much like the USA's republic. Yet with a head of church for the sake of it!

It doesn't matter if it's more open. It still is a head of church. Just more religions instead of reflecting all the people.

🙃😈😊

Dont really care what a facade monarch does. They are an exceptionally expensive anachronism.

I'm just proud she used all her fingers :)
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Pretzel She could have lifted one finger and yelled “Garçon!”
sree251 · 41-45, M
i wish she would keep her mouth shut when she smiled. she looks ok if she keeps her mouth shut.
Really · 80-89, M
@sree251 If you can't look at real people (or their teeth) the onus is on you to get treatment for your mental problem.
Really · 80-89, M
@sree251 Since 62 years ago. She's lucky she didn't marry you; she'd have been divorced long ago for looking old.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@Really Married 62 years? Lucky you.

No, I wouldn't mind being with a lifelong partner. Inside that old body is a nice person.

Camilla is a coniving bleeeeeep. I mean, who likes her? I think her becoming Queen or whatever will simply usher in a new found sense of power for her which she'll wield to the discomfort of those not on some level royal plane. Cruella Deville under a crown pretty much sums up that witch as far as I'm concerned. I would not want to be part of the Royal staff.
WalterF · 70-79, M
I think she had a problem with the crown vs her hair.

Imagine having that great weight put on your head by somebody else and not touching it yourself (to adjust it, make it more comfortable...)! Neither of them touched their crown. I don't know if this wasn't "allowed"
sree251 · 41-45, M
@WalterF It would look awkward if either of them touched their crowns, lifted them and adjusted the crowns themselves. I would. What's the point to being a monarch if one can't even adjust one's headgear let alone have the power to take off other people's heads
That hoof was working overtime
I wonder should she even be called Queen.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Bellows the way she was treated from the time she married him might have been the reason why.
@cherokeepatti She never had a chance. Camilla had picked her out for Charles to breed. Smh
@cherokeepatti William and Kate and their lovely children made me proud…

Damn arthritis I guess

So what does the UK royal family do exactly? Do they like rule the land or what exactly?

I mean cause the USA doesn't have a king. Well aside Elvis but he is gone.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@CestManan The UK is a monarchy. The monarch (King Charles III) technically owns the British realm and all within his realm (and this includes Canada, Australia and New Zealand) are his subjects instead of citizens. The UK Prime Minister is the King's head butler whose duty is to look after the running of his kingdom (i.e. the UK).
Im still perturbed by the Irish famine that the British caused in 1845 to 1852 ..
WalterF · 70-79, M
@SStarfish I'm a bit perturbed by the cold-blooded murder of Mountbatten. Cowardly act by a bunch of maniacs
Really · 80-89, M
@WalterF Out of all the millions - billions of cold blooded cowardly murders that have been committed by people of all races, nationalities & religions you are perturbing yourself over a single one that happened over 40 years ago?
WalterF · 70-79, M
@Really Have yourself a great day.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
poor cowmilla, someone forgot to wind her up so she'd wave more 😖
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@Really Yes, most "regular humans" don't cheat on their spouses with the future Monarch though, do they?
Really · 80-89, M
@spjennifer
most "regular humans" don't cheat on their spouses with the future Monarch
I don't t think there would be anything like enough future monarchs to go round, but possibly lots of regular humans could be tempted to screw a member of the monarchy - if only for political revenge.

If you've read/viewed the history of Charles & Camilla's lives you'll realize that everything may not be as simple, as black & white and hate-worthy as the way you choose to describe it. Charles for one was born into a system near impossible to get out of and I believe his relationships, along with Camiila's, her husband's, Diana's and possibly others' were callously manipulated & deliberately wrecked by the British royal family. (Who were all born without option into the same weird system, although a couple of junior members have managed to escape.)
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@Really If as you say Chuckles was stuck in the family tradition and he truly loved cowmilla, he would have done like his son and said FU to the Monarchy, like Edward VIII did for Wallis Simpson and he WAS King then. So either Chuckles is a coward or he liked having a side piece while he was married to Diana...

The 1000s in the crowd enjoyed every minute
I think people should just leave Camilla alone
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
