Stand By Me and The Breakfast Club

I saw all of them with our children. "Sandlot" came closest to reflecting my childhood.

Breakfast Club. One of my favorite movies. Stand by Me is also a favorite.

The Goonies

But I'd prefer Indiana Jones

I just rewatched Stand by me a couple days ago
WormMan · 56-60, M
all great movies, but none came out when I was a child

I liked The breakfast club as a teenager and although I really wasn't like Ally Sheedy character -I was extremely shy and reclusive
Those seem to be a Gen X thing. Was just barely before my time being a old millenial or Xellenial.

All of them.
The Goonies inspired some kids in town to venture into this cave we all had heard about. It was only accessible during low tide and when the tide came in they were stuck down there till it went out again 12 hours later. The council decided to cave in the entrance to stop anyone else going in there.

All of them except sandlot from my teen years

Don't forget National Lampoons Vacation
@MrVintage71 its crazy to me that those were considered movies for adults, they seem like kids movies

Just goonies and breakfast club.

Also as Flight of the navigator, Never Ending Story and Labyrinth

I didn’t catch The Sandlot until my late teens, but the other three were definitely a part of my growing up.

Stand By Me resonated with me the most just because of its overall tone and its ending. Its message is just something that sticks with you.
